[Gom Player] When launching GOM Player, the message “The installed file is corrupted.” appears.

If you see the message “The installed file is corrupted.” when launching GOM Player, please follow the instructions below.

After installing GOM Player, if the message “The installed file is corrupted.” appears, please manually download and install the Root CA and intermediate chain certificates, then run GOM Player again.

1. Go to the following page:

2. Download the required certificate:

  • DigiCert Trusted G4 (RSA default)

3. Install the certificate (Trusted Root):

  • Run the downloaded certificate file
  • Click [Install Certificate]
  • Select Store Location: Local Computer
  • Choose Place all certificates in the following store → Click [Browse]
  • Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities → Click [OK]
  • Click [Next] → [Finish]

4. Install the certificate again (Intermediate):

  • Run the certificate file again
  • Click [Install Certificate]
  • Select Store Location: Local Computer
  • Choose Place all certificates in the following store → Click [Browse]
  • Select Intermediate Certification Authorities → Click [OK]
  • Click [Next] → [Finish]
