Add a sense of season to the photos and videos with GOM Mix

Also, some people may be wondering if there are any editing methods that give a sense of the season. 

You can create videos with the right atmosphere for each season by adjusting color and various video editing effects.

The most important part of the video is the content. 

No matter how flashy and pretty the video is, if there is no important content in the video, viewers will not only be unable to concentrate, but will also feel empty. 

Therefore, the most important part is when editing cuts, and you can create a sense of tempo by adjusting the length of the cut. 

First, bring the video to the timeline, cut it to an appropriate length, and then delete any unnecessary parts. 

Cut editing is completed by continuing to attach other video clips. 

It may vary depending on the purpose or style of the video, but as the audio gap becomes longer, the tempo becomes looser,

so it is better to provide a certain sense of speed. 

GOM Mix has a variety of effect templates. 

Among them, I would like to introduce a few effects that can make you feel the four seasons. 

First, let me talk about color correction. 😆 

Color correction literally means correcting the color of an image. 

Each value can be freely adjusted, giving you a wide range of options for the atmosphere you can create. 

If you go to the [Effect > Color Correction] window in GOM Mix, you can see the effects called Color/Saturation/Brightness. 

If you use this effect to select the desired color, the effect shown below will appear.

Additionally, saturation indicates the depth of the color. The higher the saturation, the darker the color.

The lower the saturation, the closer it is to black and white. 

‘Color palette’ refers to changing the color palette of the video itself. 

We recommend that you adjust the values yourself and get a feel for them. 

It is possible to create a wider range of moods than simply adjusting saturation or brightness! 

If you use these color correction concepts well, you can turn ordinary shots into pretty and atmospheric colors, right? 

For example, in spring videos, the temperature of the colors is increased with pink, yellow, and orange to create a warm and refreshing feeling. 

Summer videos could emphasize blue, green, and light green to express a refreshing feeling. 

In videos depicting fall, you can lower the saturation and brightness a little to express a serious and lonely feeling. 

How about a video that represents winter?

We also recommend lowering the saturation but slightly increasing the brightness to emphasize the feeling of pure white snow. 😊 

Try adjusting the correction value like this.

If you still feel that it is not enough, you can apply the desired effect in the LUT filter. 

To put it simply, the LUT effect can be called a video filter effect.

This is an effect that allows automatic color correction without manually adjusting the values.

One of the advantages of GOM Mix is that it puts various LUTs into easy-to-understand terms. 

If you look at the LUTs of other video editing programs, there are many terms that are difficult to understand.  

So there are many things that are difficult to understand without actually applying it.
