hello. The GOM Lab is here again. 😊

Aren’t you worried about how to edit all your videos and export them?

There are many different formats for videos, including .mov, .avi, and .mp4. Also, it doesn't end there.

If you look at each format, there are various ways to set it up.

These days, many people are curious about how to export YouTube shorts or reels.

Taking this into consideration, GOM Mix has designed an interface so that even the general public can easily set the format.

There are some things that need to be set depending on the purpose.

There are a lot of people who don't know that, so we've prepared a lot of information!

Today we will talk about factors to consider when outputting video (video resolution, video format, etc.).

Then shall we get started?

Part 1. What if it’s difficult to set up videos for each platform? Solve it with GOM Mix Max.

The biggest advantage of GOM Mix is that it takes user convenience into consideration.

It is not only optimized for beginner, but also has various UI and UX designed to be user-friendly.

Therefore, even beginners in video editing can use it easily.

Exporting video is no exception.

Video format settings for Instagram, YouTube shorts, etc. are created in advance, so you can export videos more intuitively. 😊

For reference, Instagram uses a resolution of 1080*1080 because it has a 1:1 ratio.

As mentioned earlier, this is in pixel units.

Part 2. FHD, HD, SD의 차이?

When you complete editing in GOM Mix and open the export window, the first thing you see is:

There are three options: FHD (1080p) / HD (720p) / SD (480p).

For those of you who don't know, let me explain. It's not as difficult as you think!

First, I think FHD (1080p) is the video format we most often watch on YouTube and other sites.

In other words, it is the 16:9 ratio, which is the most basic format currently used.

1920*1080 is the most stable YouTube format, so if you plan to upload to YouTube, we recommend this option.

In the case of the remaining formats, HD (720p) and SD (480p), the images are extracted with lowered quality.

If the video is output in low quality, it may make viewers feel uncomfortable. I think it should be used appropriately depending on the situation.

And for the numbers in parentheses, the units are also pixels. Among them, it refers to the number of pixels that make up the vertical length.

1080 indicates 1,080 pixels, and 720 indicates 720 pixels.

Do you now know that FHD, HD, and SD refer to video quality? 😊

Part 3. Basic format of GOM Mix Max: mp4

If you look at the format settings window, you can see that MP4 is set as the default setting.

There are two basic formats currently used in video: MP4 and MOV.

Among them, MP4 is one of the most commonly used formats.

This format not only allows you to upload to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. without any problems.

You can play it on a Windows computer without any problem.

So far, we have explained how to export edited videos using GOM Mix.

I hope you understand the difficult concept! 😊

Even though the video editing was completed and finalized well, you cannot choose the wrong quality or format during the video export stage.

As I say again, when creating YouTube content, we recommend exporting it in FHD (1080p) format!

I hope you will be able to enjoy video editing comfortably with GOM Mix by paying attention to the information provided today.
