The program stops or fails in encoding WMV files. |
---|
Follow the instructions below to troubleshoot an encoding error for ASF file formats (WMV and WMA).
① Download and install the latest version of GOM Encoder. Run the program and encode WMV, WMA and ASF files.
② In GOM Encoder → Configurations → Filter, change the source filter and encode. A total of four source filters are supported. Try each one of the four. - [GOM ASF Source Filter 1] - [GOM ASF Source Filter 2] - [WM ASF Reader]
* Misselection of this option may interrupt the normal encoding process, so please change it only when you have an encoding problem. ([GOM ASF Source Filter 1] is selected by default.)
③ Update your Windows Media Player. If the problem persists, update your Windows Media Player to the version 11. (You need to activate the Windows Media Player 11 before installation.) The installer file wmfdist11.exe contained in the installation package for Windows Media Player 11 is not distributable alone. Download Windows Media Player 11
④ Set a segment for solution. In Preview/Set segment, enable “Select a segment to convert” and set the start to about 5 seconds forward.
Although it is a temporary solution, it will work for encoding. |
