Why is my CPU running at 100% while encoding on GOM Encoder? |
---|
Video encoding is a process that takes high CPU usage. Therefore, it is common that the encoder uses most of your CPU (100%) to get the job done as quickly as possible.
In other words, it is not good to get a job done in 2 hours with the CPU running at 50% that would take only 1 hour with 100% CPU usage. So, GOM Encoder installed on a single core computer will always have your CPU working at 100% while encoding, regardless of the job priorities of your system. |
