6.3 Preferences - Subtitle

6.3.1 [Subtitles] Tab

You can set the color, outline or shadow of your subtitles.

 

- This sets the Subtitle font, size,
  and quality.
- Auto Size: The caption (subtitle)
  will be resized as window size of
  GOM.

☞ If you set the vertical position to 100%, the caption (subtitle) will be located in bottom

6.3.2 [Messages] Tab

 

☞ A display time for 2 seconds means that the control message (Pause in the example above) will display for 2 sec.

6.3.3 [Subtitle Directory] Tab

☞ Subtitle Folder: By adding a subtitle folder into the Subtitle Directory, when you play a file, you will be able to see if there is a corresponding subtitle file to the one you are watching.

6.3.4 [Others] Tab

☞ Code Page: If in the case that the subtitle file is not in Unicode but in ASCII, you will need to change your region to the language of the subtitle in order to watch it correctly.

For example, if your Japanese subtitle file comes out broken, you must go to the Code Page and select Japanese in order to view it correctly.

☞ Subtitle Sync: You can control and sync the subtitle to the video file as needed.
